Welcome
Carol, my wife of 57 years, and I grew up in Midland, Texas. We first moved to Las Vegas in 1987, after living in Houston, California, Houston, and Denver. We moved to California again in 1990. While there, Carol received her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. 1995 brought us back to Las Vegas, and we have lived in the same house near Craig and Buffalo ever since -- the longest time we have ever lived in one place.
We believe deeply that citizens should actively participate in their government at all levels. Carol served for several years on the Board of our Canyon Ranch Estates Homeowners Association, and handed off this task to me sometime before 2000. I have been President of the Association since 2003. Our Board members are actively involved in maintaining and improving our neighborhood, and we have been able to remain financially solvent without assessment increases throughout the economic turmoil of the past few years. In part this is a result of making it possible for our neighbors to volunteer their time and effort for such projects as painting our entrance gates, light posts, etc.
On February 3, 2013, I filed to run for Las Vegas City Council, Ward 4. On February 5, I withdrew. Then I decided to work as hard as I could to elect Frank Geary. Please join me in this effort
